Wow, hard to believe it has been two and half years since my last post.

Life has a certain way of taking you places where you never imagined. Started teaching in March 2017 and it has been such a wonderful career that I have lost focus on my acting. Did go to an audition last month in Granite City for a movie being filmed in St Louis. That was embarrassing. Way out of my league. Will have to start working on local productions again getting my skills built back up.

More later

Start of a new journey.

Good afternoon everyone.

November 13th in the late evening I was offered and received a lead role in a twelve episode series by Hyperfex Production Industries out of Chicago.  I have no idea where this is heading.  It has all been quite.  Only the script for each session of recording is being sent out.  Rehearsals start tomorrow at noon in Chicago. Seven page monologue to rehearse for filming which starts December 2nd. The monologues from each character establishes who they are in the series. I am a grizzled old veteran. No type casting here. LOL Leaving 06:00 tomorrow for the journey. Back to practicing.

Looking forward to the excitement.  More later.

Take care, be well,

Brian

Discussion Continues

Brian

Awake and Evil Everywhere.

Hello, long time no chat.  Been very busy since graduating from ISU May 7th, 2016.  Been working around the house trying to wrap up projects so I can move forward with my career.  Two developments with the movies mentioned in the subject line.  Awake, filmed and produced by Matt Colston received second place in the LA Film Festival and placed in a film festival in New York.

Evil Everywhere, which filmed in April this year is still in post production and will be ready for several film festivals.  The filming was done by Mordacious Films, produced by Mykee Morettini in Chicago.   Here is a clip:

Even tho I have been focusing on wrapping up the projects in Springfield, I have been to several auditions.  Two in Chicago and one in St Louis.  All three were student films.  Starting back into the swing of things.  Applied for an extra in a film being shot in Idaho.  That would be freaking awesome.

Back to the grind.

Take care, be well

Graduation

Hello Everyone.  Have not been on here for a while.  Been focusing on my classes at Illinois State University the last month.  Graduated this past Saturday (May 7th) with my Bachelors Degree. Spent the evening with family and friends at Famous Dave's for dinner, graduation ceremony then finishing off the night with ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery.  Thank you for everyone for your kind words and support these past four years as I was pursuing a degree in integrated and theatre studies.

Now for the projects working.  Concessions 2 is almost complete and should be online in the next month or two.  The post production and editing of the film Tonight I Fade Away should be completed by mid-July.  Looking forward to both being released this summer.  Misha's Minions: Changing Perspectives has been rumored to be completed and online in early fall.  I am excited that the three projects will be hitting the internet within the next few months.

Taking a few weeks off to regroup after four years of full time school and to do some work around the house and at my Mom's.  Working out at One on One Fitness to get my body back in shape after sitting in the library for hours at a time studying and writing papers.  Have to look good when on screen. :-)  I will touch base with you when more good things happen.

Take care, be well,

Brian

Weekend of April 9th and 10th

Had a wonderful weekend.  Got to be a professor and a janitor with a twist.  Worked with two great crews here locally at Illinois State University (ISU).

The first was on Saturday with Matt Colston and his project, Tonight I Fade Away.  I was Professor Cecario in three scenes.  Two lecture and one dream sequence all in a classroom environment.  Worked with Graham (Michael) Gusloff from ISU for the first time.  I have enjoyed his talent on stage since my arrival here and was excited to have the opportunity to work with him for the first time.  Got to do some improve in the dream sequence scene with him.

The second filming was on Sunday with Concessions 2.  David Bergquist operating the camera, Wesley Tilford directing and Drew Burningham acting across from me in the scenes.  It was a wet and rainy day.  Could not have had better luck in the weather if we planned it.  The nastiness added to the scenes as they developed.  Looking forward to the series being posted on Their YouTube channel.

The other project I have been working on, Lions Share with Bridge2Bridge Film's is still doing a casting call for the series pilot.  The producer, Lincoln Lee is putting together a cast for the first short in his efforts to create a taste of what this series offers.  Hope to have the cast in place for the beginning sequence of scenes.

That's all for now,

Take care, be well,

Brian

Good Evening

Today was an exciting day.  I received an email from Matt Colston. He is doing a film here at ISU called tonight I fade away.  He has asked me to be a professor, Mr. Cecario.  It is a small part, but I like the looks of the project.  It will be enjoyable to work here again at Illinois State University (ISU).

Monday, March 28th the Voice II class I am in did a Flash Mob presentation at Milner Library here at ISU.  It was truly an worth while experience.  Kevin Rich, the professor, directed the presentation.  It was definitely a bucket list check off.  :-)  Sunday, I will be traveling to Champaign.  Bridge2Bridge Films is holding auditions for Lions Share.  This is a TV series that has been developed by the Producer Lincoln Lee.  I was blessed in getting the main character role of Judge John Marriett, a very corrupt (go figure) Chicago Judge.  Lee's plans are to film several increments of the pilot in 9-10 minute lengths to present the series to the networks.  More on that later.

Only 19 more days of school.  My last class before the week of assessments is the 20th of April.  The 35 year journey is drawing to a close.  Graduation is set for May 7th in Normal, IL.  Looking forward to the new journey. Signing off.

Take care, be well,

Brian

Concessions 2

Hello everyone,

Yesterday was filming a scene for the web series Concession 2.  I was great.  It was at a birthday party scene with me being a janitor.  It  was being filmed outside of the north side of the APL at ISU.  I was a bit chilly last night doing the scene. It was an awesome time with Wesley and Olivia and cast and crew. Cannot wait until it gets released to YouTube,.

Take care, Be well,

Brian

Concessions 2 Web Series

Friday evening started working with Wesley, Mitch and Olivia on their web series Concessions 2.  I am excited to be a part of their production. Looking forward to seeing their efforts being presented on YouTube.  In Acting in Front of the Camera class will be doing a mock audition on Monday.  In movement class will be exploring efforts for a scene from an O'Neill play, "Long Day's Journey Into Night".  48 days until graduation.

Take care, Be well,

Brian
